Let me get this straight...

A football coach is being a complete prick?

Good. Louisville deserves everything that is coming to them for rehiring this guy

IMO, there's nothing wrong with being a prick. Saban is a weapons grade a-hole and most people respect him more than they hate him because he's not a generally shitty human being like Petrino.

Re the comment that BP is a "great college coach", I'd limit that to being a great offensive coach. His defenses have always sucked & according to many he takes away time for defensive practice to give the offense more time. Perhaps that's behind the alleged fighting with his DC? His type of leopard never changes its spots, so just give him time to revert back to his "motorcycling" again.

I know someone who worked for Petrino at Louisville and pretty much flat out told me the guy was one of the worst human beings he's ever been around. FYI he also worked for Saban. From some of the stories he's shared, I'm pretty much shocked guys will play at all for him.

Funny, because every former player that played under him at Louisville told the Courier Journal other media outlets how they loved playing for him and they called our AD showing their support for him.

He is a winner, gets guys to the NFL and, believe it or not, he does care about his players.

Really? He had one foot out the door wanting the better gig. He was involved in the "plane gate", where the Auburn boosters going behind "Tuberville back. Plus, he left a mess with players that had major academic and issues off the field.

Same thing happened here. We had a ton of guys get booted or leave in 2012 and early 2013 for off-field issues, and our APR was in the toilet when Petrino got canned, so much so that we were in danger of sanctions when Bert got hired.

Petrino is a good in-game offensive football coach, but he can't sustain a program, and it's telling that he's never had the same job for more than 4 years. He can't recruit or evaluate character (or non-QB/WR/DL talent) for shite, and it's why nearly 60 kids got booted, left, washed out, or plain quit from his four classes here. Most of the ones still on the roster can barely get on the field, and it's why Bert was stuck playing so many freshmen last year and will again this year. People crap on Les Miles and try to give Saban credit for all of LSU's success, but at least he's sustained a great program for a decade.
