CNN
This has been alluded to in other threads - thought it deserved it's own.

Currently this is questionable b/c caller may not be a witness- and just a family friend retelling the cops story.
quote:
According to the account on KTFK, phoned in by a woman who identified herself as "Josie," the altercation began after Officer Darren Wilson rolled down his window to tell Brown and a friend to stop walking in the street.
When Wilson tried to get out of his cruiser, Brown first tried to push the officer back into the car, then punched him in the face and grabbed for his gun before breaking free after the gun went off once, the caller said.
Wilson pursued Brown and his friend, ordering them to freeze, according to the account. When they turned around, Brown began taunting Wilson, saying he would not arrest them, then ran at the officer at full speed, the caller said.
Wilson then began shooting. The final shot was to Brown's forehead, and the teenager fell two or three feet in front of Wilson, the caller said.
A source with detailed knowledge of the investigation later told CNN the caller's account is "accurate," in that it matches what Wilson has told investigators.
If true, the account represents the first telling of events from the perspective of Wilson, whose shooting of Brown has touched off nightly protests and violence in the suburban St. Louis city.

Wow, it finally hit me, Brown had a 9th grade flashback and thought Wilson was a QB.
Bitzing a gun is an all-time dumb act.

If that is true the action by Brown is so nuts it almost sound like suicide by cop.

Upvote for starting one of the better Michael Brown threads.
This could get very interesting as more detail comes out.

My question is, wouldn't at least part of this encounter be filmed by the officer's dash cam? Or do those things have to be turned on? Genuine question.

As more and more information comes out, I just keep having the same thought:
When you don't form a stance based on flimsy, street level, bullshite information, you don't get caught later with your dick in your hand when the actual facts start trickling in.
That's what has happened to a lot of people on this Mike Brown issue. They lapped up all the bullshite and went on the attack. Now that it seems everything the trickles out is going against their stance, they either have to admit they were wrong or double down on their idiocy.
They are choosing the latter.

Josie's story definitely supports the officer's side of the story. But I'm mostly impressed by her telescopic vision and parabolic ears.

These witness accounts, especially the phoned in first name only variety, need to stop. They offer nothing to the public which doesn't even need to hear any of this crap.

Anonymous radio callers don't matter. The only folks who do are folks who've talked to the police. Did the caller say whether or not she had talked to the police?

If the OP is accurate, it would almost seem that Brown committed suicide by cop. I have a hunch that the truth isn't as black and white as Darren Wilson claims or as Dorian Johnson claim, but rests spmewhere in the gray area.

Now the guy who wanted to show the dead body, but instead showed 2 witnesses saying exactly what rhe police said has been taken down.
