The fleet managers at my company seem to have choice worlds to describe vehicles equipped with the 6.0L and newer Powerstrokes. "Reliable" is definitely not one of them. These are not modified engines either.

The 6.4 power joke is the worst engine ever built, eclipsing the shitty 6.0 it replaced.

I know fleet managers at mines that have plenty of them without issue. Given their guys are trained to work on CATs and Cummins engines that are the size of light duty trucks might be something too. Simply switching over to a heavy duty ELC and running a filter cures a lot of issues with the 6.0 and 6.4 (and CTD's for that matter). I use the stuff in both my gasser trucks after having the OEM stuff eat up plastic and rubber parts and I'd rather not have to go back to the green stuff and flushing it every few years.
