The point was YOU need to soak in Simple Green...


Also, for detail cleaning of parts like that, Hoppes #9 is an extremely potent carbon/varnish cleaner. I've used it to de-carbon turbo charger compressor wheels and IAT's and the crud just melts off.

Really? I've never even thought of that as strong enough. I'll give it a shot.

Why don't you see GM and Dodge guys complaining about blown up engines left and right? The problems with the Ford engines are well known by everyone that has ever even smelled a diesel engine. I could pick out a couple of things that have gone wrong for a few people with GM and Dodges, but it isn't a complete and total failure like the Ford engines, and the problems aren't consistent.

I am also starting to hear about major problems with the 6.7 as of late. My gf is driving from BR to NOLA right now, and if you wanna see another recently broken down 6.4, just make that drive
