he's not being indicted over someone getting a DWI, he's being indicted for (allegedly) abusing his powers as governor. I have no idea if he did or didn't and after living in Austin for a few years I can definitely see something like that happening. He's been governor for so long he's developed an "above the law" attitude IMO and his penchant for playing political games (see the Bill Powers saga) is just as bad as anyone else's. But like i said, i have no idea if he did or didn't break a law and unlike y'all I'm going to wait and see what happens before forming an opinion.

I don't know why this board is assuming there's nothing to these charges (other than the fact that they happen to agree with Rick on the issues) but if it truly is a baseless indictment, that will come to light. Let's just wait and see what happens.

This board's reaction to this has been so overwhelmingly partisan, it's just yet another example of why i don't take you people seriously.

Google Alan Derchowitz’s take on the indictment. Only a fool would support this kind of hijacking of our political system.

Good grief the history goes back to Ronnie Earle (who founded the Public Integrity Unit when he was DA).

He vetoed a bill. Are you claiming that was an illegal act?
