Yeah that's what it looks like I went from 333 to 341 yesterday. Hopefully can make up some ground today with the strikes.

I have heard, haven't seen it confirmed or tried it myself, that the Challenge of Elders is a good way to boost your light.
There also is apparently some kind of Omnigul cheese right now to help you lvl up as well.

You really shouldn't have to do this. By the time you are done with quest lines from your main you get a full set of lv 340 armor for each class as rewards from your book.
Unless you just want some certain set at 340. But I would save my marks and infuse that set higher up.

Yea I watched some guy on Twitch doing the Omnigul cheese. You just have to kill her before she goes into the second room on her strike and if you do, just die after because the checkpoint is right before you run into her the first time. You need a nightstalker hunter to anchor and a stormcaller warlock for the adds and I dont remember what class they used for the third party member but they were a hunter. She will drop two engrams at or above your light every time you kill her. The hard part is getting the Omnigul strike to show on the random heroic strike playlist. I think the twitch guy recommend you wait till like 345 to start trying to cheese that strike.

Quick queation. I just got back into Destiny and got ano exotic Speacility machine gun and it had 1160 level. It get any higher? All I have left to do is upgrade it with a shard, but the weapon is too terribly weak for me to want to.
I also got Her Right Hand automatic rifle. It is at a 170 (Legendary) and can be reformed among other things. What does the reforming exactly do for a weapon?

Much harder the before and you need a god damn skeleton key to get the specific loot. My dumbass did two realizing I needed to finish that quest to get one. Then after that its random, they make this shite so damn time consuming. 
The goal was to get to 360 before Friday, no way its happening unless I stay up all night. It starts to slow down after you get in the 340s. Strikes and ranking up with factions grind. Crucible drops some good stuff as well based on light level.

Some of them aren't bad. Remember Arc burn is on.
Now the Phogoth strike... F that. Knights and thralls use arc. Plus they lock you in the final room with new enemy spawns.
