I realize that. The value of back issues didn't become into play until the 60's, so I would guess that it was 20something years old when someone began storing it between sheets of non-acid paper, or storing in cedar, or whatever they had access to prior to acid-free bags and boards.
Though you still had people finding high grade comics with hoarders and such in the 70's and 80's.

Never considered that. I bet a lot of AC #1s simply got trashed too
