Homemade "slat trap"
I live on a golf course, just messing around testing my "Survivor Man" skills.
Lakes are really deep as they dug them out for fill dirt to build up the lots they sold.
Gonna put one down this weekend and let it soak for a week with some kind of bait, see what happens

If you are putting a slat trap in a pond you want to put it where the opening is facing down. Not straight down, but on an area where the bottom is sloped pretty hard. They won't go in it if it's laying flat on a flat bottom.
Good luck with all the stinkpot turtles you are going to catch. If you are testing survivor skills, learn how to clean a turtle. A man can always catch a turtle.
