As a snap shot, I have no problem with presenting the destruction of the Indians but also talk about what the Indians were doing to one another.

I agree, but you have to admit that most standard high school history classes omit a lot of the ugly parts of American History. I don't think it's on purpose but rather for the sake of expediency. It's hard to cover 300 to 400 years of history in one year.
