I don't think the S Line is the issue, the note gave me the same problems that the s4 did.. I think Samsung will continue to see a decline until they do away with TW or give it a major overhaul.

Just based on my limited, anecdotal evidence it seemed like people liked the Note 3 better than the S4/S5. But yeah, I wouldn't want either solely because of TouchWiz
