re: OT Airline Experts: miss departing flight, can you still board return flight?

Update: The one-way rental was way too expensive. I was able to change the flight to Wednesday for $225 ($200 change fee & $25 price difference). Not thrilled about paying that, but better than making an extra trip...which I would have had to do. Thanks for the input.
