Sorry. Fixed.

This movie is timeless and strange and beautiful. It made John Lithgow and Glen Close huge stars and proved that Williams wasn't just Mork the assclown. It's also a fantastic comment on modern feminism, its good intentions and hysterical fervor alike.

It's a film about a life. In light of his recent death, I can't think of anything more appropriate. If I had to choose one of his movies over all of the others, it's Garp.

"You look familiar. Have I seen you somewhere before?"

"Do you like football."

Also, The Survivors with Walter Matthau, Jerry Reed from Smokey and the Bandit and Ione Sky from Say Anything also gets an honorable mention.

I love his stand-up, live concerts like the one on HBO 8-9 yrs ago on New Years Eve. 2 hrs of non stop deep from the gut laughing till it hurts and all he had for props was a small table & a bottle of water. I know from a family member who works there that he is loved at St.Jude's Children Hospital, both for his charity & and his personal time he gave the children there. I can not even imagine of the energy & humor flying through the air when he & Jonathn Winters got together as they often did.
