Surely they will at some point. And albeit slightly annoying, that $5 app will do it for me.

No. You are upgrading to 100gb. You do not go to 115gb.

they sure drug their feet and made the transition from picasa to g+ as painful as possible. a textbook example of how NOT to transition your customers from a great platform to a shitty one while you were working out the kinks.
the other 'worst forced transition' i can think of is microsoft moving me from my BELOVED foldershare to MeSH..then to LIVE..and then basically just killed it completely.
i wish they had just left foldershare alone

i'm not sure about 115 vs 100. the other poster is correct; if you don't save photos at the highest resolution ing G+, they never count towards your total storage.
