Also, I'll mention this- I've traveled to 30+ countries and I've learned that most of the world acts as if they hate America but they are obsessed with everything we do. They fawn over our movies, fashion, restaurants, culture and know all our politicians, celebrities and public figures. They all want to tell you about the relative they have living here or the time they visited the US. Yet, they claim to hate us.

This. I've lived in 7 different countries and traveled to countless others. They claim to hate us but mimic us in very way possible.

I just got back from France 2 hours ago and didn't feel the hate at all. Paris felt more American influenced than I ever remember. Also, they themselves call them french fries now. It's on practically every cafe menu.

This hits the nail on the head.

The flag I saw the most in France was the American flag. It's on clothes, cell phone covers, purses, etc. I saw it more than I do here in the states.
