I think we've reached a point where perception outweighs policy for most people, unfortunately. If Romney could play a Sax on Arsenio, show up on The View a few times he'd probably do great wonders for his reputation.

Point well made. The world has seen a lot of very bad leaders over a long period of time who "excited" the masses.
