I can't decide if using Soylent as the name was pure stupidity or absolute genius.

I empathize with you here. I think it's genius... but it took me a good long while to come to that. This isn't a product for the masses. It's instant mental brand recognition. The mere fact that you could try "soylent" which is clearly not actually people, will bring a curiosity to even people that will never use it beyond their first try.

Dieters / outdoor people / and def charity work i think is likely the main function. This type of product seems in the "inevitable" category. Whether it's currently viable, idk.
