He has more tools, but the race card isn't applicable in this situation.
Would bet that criticism of his next misstep (which will be soon) will prompt Eric Holder to play that darn race card for BhO.

Did he just praise Scary Kerry for his "excellent work" in the middle east????
Interesting that Obama praised Kerry for bringing factions together in Afghanistan yet Obama has done his best to pit one group against anothr at home.

Here is one from the other thread I would love to hear asked of him.
Where are the "moderate" Muslims and Muslim Leaders?
Protests condemning tens of thousands killed, 1.2 million displaced, rapes, torture, theft, and creating a virtual prison for 40,000 civilians trapped on Mount Sinjar?
Where are they?
Agree.

Is there ever a speech without the obligatory: "The previous administration....."
Did he actually say that? Again?
If he did, what a little man he truly is.
Little and insecure.

Yes. He actually said that.

Unbelievable. I am an amateur historian. I've studied leaders from the Caesars to the great Foreign ministers of Europe to American Presidents and Secretaries of State.
Never have I seen a more un-statesmanlike Leader of a major power.
It's unreal how juvenile this man is.

Great speech. He said what needed to be said. It was Bush's fault and that fact is obvious to anyone who can think for themselves and paid attention 10 years ago. Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld. It is primarily their fault. End of story.

Yes, it's Bush's fault that Obama couldn't get a SOFA with Maliki. A President takes the cards he's dealt and makes the most of it. Obama hasn't.
That wasn't the point of my post anyway.
A Leader of substance would stop blaming his predecessor 6 years later.
The American public by re-electing Obama has made the point that they wanted him to continue in office. He won. We get it.
But that doesn't alter the fact that he's a little, insecure man.

I've know genuine LSU Tiger's and you sir are not one.
When you run for reelection on a platform that under your leadership Iraq is now a stable jewel of the ME, you can't backtrack when it turns to shite again on your watch and blame the previous admin. A hack supporter of a hack president.

My Ogump-hater credentials are well established. But even I have to admit he was dealt a very lousy hand in Iraq. W screwed up the reconstruction. He also set the timetable Obama used to withdraw from Iraq.
Obama owns a lot of domestic messes, but there was only so much he could do in Iraq. He just shouldn't have done the self-congratulatory foreign policy rhetoric in 2012.

Iraq was largely stabilized by the time Bush left office.
Obama wanted to get out of there so badly, that he either didn't care, or didn't realize the consequences of announcing a timetable for withdrawal, and his not even half hearted attempt to get a SOFA with Maliki.
What we see now is the result of that.
And I think Obama really has no problem with that. I believe he wants to lessen the US presence and influence on the world stage, and turn it inward, to focus primarily on domestic issues.

That shite wasn't set in stone and if he wasn't comfortable with it he should have had the foresight to set a timetable that was congruent with his aspects of what a successful withdrawal would be. Proceeding with something you don't believe in and then blaming the previous guy is just stupid.

You exemplify the problem. He's a juvenile leader for a juvenile nation.
You think what the President NEEDED to do was play the blame game.

Aw yeah. Cleared the air and got it right out there on the table. He just stated the truth but many here cannot handle the truth.

It's all about political division. Nothing else. those who really want to like Obama eat that shite up.
I Find it excruciating to listen to the man talk, even if he has some semi valid points. Iraq is everyone's fault.

In late 2002, before the Iraq war had begun, then-state Sen. Obama appeared on Public Affairs, a Chicago television program hosted by Jeff Berkowitz. He was asked how, given the chance, he would have voted on the U.S. Senate's resolution to give President Bush authority to use military force in Iraq.

It's hard to play the blame game when you're on record of agreeing with previous actions. He's all about improving his image for the history books and don't give a shite about "right or wrong."
