Russell Brand vs. Hannity (2 videos) email from brother in law...

"Don't know if you've seen or heard of any of this. My opinion, it's well worth it. You know lots of libs who are friends and even brothers/sisters. The following may help understand their overall perception and fear of conservatives.
Russel Brand uses his sarcastic, comedic style to take on Sean Hannity on a complex issue going back thousands of years (well, to biblical times). Not easily solved if ever.
Both extreme sides see it simplistically. Sean's side says keep firing away until they stop shooting and don't
listen to the historical concerns of the Palestinian people (pre 1948). The left extreme side says lay down your weapons Israel and let Hamas have what they want and they will leave you alone (baloney - see ISIS).
How do they make any sort of progress and most importantly stop killing? I don't have an answer but believe diplomacy has a part in all of this (which begins with REASONABLE dialogue).
But if you LISTEN to some (not all) of what Brand says, it's absolutely spot on. This is my problem with Sean and the like. People can take entertainers (including Brand) as gospel truth and somehow more credible because of their celebrity. The problem is that Sean's got an agenda and comes across as an impartial. He's paid to be an unmovable, opinionated, sensationalistic "I'm always right" bully. And unfortunately there are people who don't have a clue or care that there's always another side.
In my opinion, the biggest problem is that Sean isn't helping anyone dialogue. He's a divider on all issues. That's his gig, to oppose, divide and not really discuss (but make it look like a discussion)."

My comments:
I have to agree with my brother in laws comments. I haven't watch Hannity for years because he doesn't really discuss issues...He beats the dead horse into the ground.. it's hard to watch and I am a conservative.
With all that said, I am of the opinion that this conflict can not be solved via "political" or via "dialogue".
If Israel wasn't where it is geographically I might have a different view ... but I don't see a peaceful resolution...
Both sides point the finger, both sides want the land..
There will not be peace until there is a decisive winner militarily.. Cease fires are not doing anything of substance.
am I wrong?

I think this is true.

No disrespect to you, but I don't want to watch two idiots discuss a complex topic.
I do not know anyone who watches Hannity, ever. The only people I know of that watch Hannity are the leftists who watch Fox News on this board.
I only found out who Russell Brand was because a few years ago, I made a comment to my wife how this guy had to be the "luckiest man alive" since he was plowing Katy Perry. Then she showed me his picture. Now I think even less of KP than I did before.

I can’t understand a word Russell Brand says, I find him physically repulsive and I’m not likely to alter my opinion based on anything an actor has to say.
I very seldom watch Hannity.
Neither of their opinions mean much to me.
