These numbers are hilarious. I wonder if half of you have ever done any serious traveling.
Op- extreme example, but my sister did three months in Europe for $5,500. Not including airfare

I do have no idea, that's why I'm asking.

No doubt there can be a huge range. The first time we went to Europe, we did England and Paris for a week and spent 2k including the airfare. But we're talking a honeymoon here, so I would expect to pay a little more for the nice hotels, maybe a tour or two, and some nicer meals.

If she only spent $60 a day she purchased food from grocery stores, stayed at hostels/camp grounds, etc. I also wonder how much travel she did within Europe, as trains have been getting more expensive. She probably did some time in the much cheaper Eastern European countries.
Regardless, the OP is going on his honeymoon. He is going to be eating out, staying in nice hotels, paying for museums and other activities...Possibly purchasing some souvenirs. On our honeymoon we spent about $400 a day, and we employed some cost-saving measures. The wife wanted to stay in nice hotels, and that was about half of our budget.
If I wasn't with a woman, especially my wife, I could travel for under $100 a day for sure.

I consider traveling and honeymooning to be a bit different
