It depends on how much shite you want to buy, how nice you want the hotels and restaurants to be. Germany is approximately the same price as USA, Italy probably a little cheaper. You can stay places for $30 a night or $300. It's up to you. I would think 10k is a little too lavish.. Pay less and you'll have a better experience IMO. But it's your honeymoon so if you want to ball, go for it.
I would consider flying from Germany to Italy to save time. Tickets are pretty cheap. And you want to optimize your time on a vacation like this.

I don't necessarily want to spend everything I save for the trip. I want to be able to have enough saved up to be comfortable while there.
I was thinking about flying while in Europe. Looks like plane tickets are only around $200 roundtrip for certain trips we may want to take.
