When our group called to get our block in 1995, they had less than 30K season tickets sold. They personally called us and gave us four options to get 20 tickets together, and then agreed to hold them all for a day so that our group could get together that night to decide which block we wanted.
ETA: the cost for a pair of tickets for the year was right at $200 ($18 per ticket for 6 games).

The figure will never drop so long as people buy others' season tickets + their TAF fees.
