I wonder what the election map would look like if there was an election in November 2001, and 9/11still happened. The way Bush handled it in the early months was really a great display of leadership. I think he would have carried 40 states.

He had 30.. Probably could have took Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Oregon.. I don't know about 40 though.

eta- Pennsylvania maybe too.

Agreed. That was a time to be a proud American despite your political inclinations. (Not you personally, but people in general)
