His recent decision making re: QBs is suspect.

such as?

Harris had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, and Arizona state.

He's going to be really freaking good, in his first year.

He doesn't seem to realize that Auburn's 1800 +, 23 touchdown workhorse isn't on their team anymore.

Apparently you have't watched the throwing motion, progression, comfort in the pocket, etc. of both QBs. Bc if you had, it's pretty apparent who is the more "talented" of the two.

harris seems to process infomation quicker from what he's shown and what the other players say.

jennings seems to stare down targets, hence his two pick 6's in the spring game...

what does that have to do with THIS year and THIS team? not a thing
Auburn is a top 5 ranked team this year. Auburn lost 1 regular season game last year, to LSU. They will want revenge. LSU will be starting an inexperienced QB playing his first SEC road game in an environmnet that LSU hardly EVER wins at. I'm expecting an "L" in this one and you should too.

And you don't seem to realize that our 3000 yd passer, 1000 yd rusher and two 1000 yd receivers aren't on our team anymore.

2010, 2006, and 2004 have what to do with THIS 2014 exactly?

since we're going by history (because that's what is important right?) LSU lost a shite ton in 2006 with FOUR first round draft picks, and won the championship the very next year with a qb who had never been a full time starter.

because it's not clear to me that Harris is more "talented" at playing QB.
it's clear to miles
You read the quote. You typed the quote. You only understood from the quote what you wanted to understand.

First, it's not "clear to miles." Miles used the word "maybe." Thus, it's not clear.

Second, he used the qualifier "naturally." I don't know why he used the word, but he did. Maybe, Harris is faster than Jennings. Miles did not explain the modifier.

Third, Miles never said that Harris is more talented at playing QB. Maybe, Harris has more natural talent in his arm. That doesn't mean he's more talented at playing QB. As you know, there's more to playing QB than arm strength.

Listen to how foolish you sound...its a spring game for cryin out loud...im not saying Jennings is better...but people are writing him completely off...and to say that Harris has done more than Jennings is a very ignorant statement

harris hasn't played in a live game yet, so yes jennings has one game and 2 series' more experience than harris. that is a fact.

but how much does that honestly matter? 1.1 games of experience isn't like he was starting all year long. Harris beat jennings out in the spring and will most likely beat him out in the next few weeks if I had to guess. I guess we'll see how it shakes out.

I don't agree considering the depth of talent we have coming in at WR. All reports say Quinn and Dupre are game ready now. Combined with Dural, the TEs and guys like Magee, LF, and Neighbors to catch the ball out of the backfield, I don't see the offense suffering from a lack of targets.

I agree. I think we have an AJ Green like impact player in Dupre. Quinn is already more polished than most college WRs anyway, and has the athletic ability to add to it. Dural was a gut who Miles thought was good enough to be the #3 guy his true freshman season. He also got a year experience last year. Then you add in Leslie, who should have a now or never mentality who has also played 2 JUCO years, and is a 6'4 burner. Diarse is a guy who is a possession receiver through and through.

Add in Magee who practiced at receiver for a year, Neighbors who showed some decent hands, Fournette who comes in with 1000 yards 9 TDs RECEIVING, in just his last two high school years, and you have an actually pretty loaded unit.

The only thing is that a seasoned QB could take full advantage of this. Hopefully with Harris we have a Baker Mayfield, Davis Webb, John O'korn, Christian Hackenburg. Maybe with Jennings, we have a Darron Thomas, Aaron Murray, Keith Price, James Franklin, Nathan Scheelhasse, or Brett Smith. I'm hoping we can luck up into as good of a first year those guys had.

I see Jennings starting against Wisconsin, but Harris getting significant time as well. We have 4 straight home games after that to establish a starter, so hopefully we'll be set on one by the time we go to Auburn.

Sure, except that everything I said is correct.

I wish you'd try splitting hairs a little more. You say: "brandon harris was the #3 QB in the country coming out of high school" 247 had him as the #3 Dual Threat QB coming out of high school. Rivals had him as the #5 QB. The facts are the facts. He has good facts; use those facts.

I know you love Harris. He's your boy. That's cool. Seriously, that's cool. Support him all you want. I agree that Harris might be an amazing QB. I look forward to watching him play.

But the coaches have not made a decision. Let's wait and see who the coaches pick. They might decide Harris gives LSU the best chance to win. Then again, they might decide Jennings gives LSU the best chance to win.

Yeah, but writing off a sophomore who has played all but a game and a half with only a true freshman as his competition is pretty stupid. I mean my God, people do usually struggle in their first couple of outings.
