not sure i understand. i have one 'email' app on my android that merges my EXCHANGE and LIVE/HOTMAIL, etc. accounts.

gmail has more features on android and is a separate app but you can combine all your gmail addresses in the one app.

so in short, you have one app for gmail; and one app for all your other email accounts.

Use your stock email app. It should allow you to receive emails from multiple accounts and select which account you want to send emails from.

Check out CloudMagic. It's free and has a great widget. I have one Gmail and three yahoo accounts on it.

OP's issue is with android. It makes you sign in to a google account to download apps etc and automatically routes that email to the gmail app. All other email is set up through the phones "email" app.

Set the gmail app to not check email anymore, and add your gmail account to the stock "email" app where your yahoo is currently received.
