I didn't see the SARs comment at first. But yea that could work but I don't think the OP had that idea.
Let's see...
One the one hand I risk having to spend a little extra time getting through the process at the airport....
... On the other hand I risk death from a virus that turns my insides to liquid and makes me bleed out of every opening in my body while I burn up with a fever of about 105 degrees.
Yeah, frick having to take that extra 15-20 minutes at the airport.
