Well, either get better at negotiating, or find a different dealer. They advertise the lower price to get you in. They know they aren't going to give as much trade because of how aggressively they've priced their vehicle.
Basically, you want them to go under trade value of the car you're buying, but still give full trade for your vehicle. That's never going to happen without a "fight."

And that's fair enough. I already told him thanks for his time and that's it. I'll only contact him back if I am buying that truck outright. That's why I was trying to get the high trade value down here, and the low cost of up there.
I already emailed Texas direct and I will go by carmax later to see what they offer. Does anybody else have a suggestion?
