I was really curious this series and finally got around to watching the first three episodes of Season 1. I think the concept is intriguing and Tatiana Maslany is really good. But I'm not sure it's interesting enough to keep watching. Not sure why. Anyone else have this reaction? Should I keep trying?

Had the exact same reaction. Watched the first 5 and lost interest. Yes, she is an incredible actress. What she pulls off is amazing. But it's not enough to carry a meh story.
Is the hype solely based on this chick playing so many roles?

I really like it and think she's great. But she is certainly part of the hype, the fact that she's unknown and we so good. I do think its a good story and worth watching.

The entire first season is fantastic. Definitely give it at least a few more episodes before deciding to tap out or not. I'm going to start season 2 soon. Really sharp writing and Tatiana Maslany is magnificent.

I really liked season 1 and 2. I'd recommend you keep trying.

I got way more into the show after midway through season 1. The 2nd seasons is the best IMO. Shows way more potential for the show's future.

I'd give it a few more. I enjoyed it. Her performance is fantastic, but I could see where perhaps the storyline might be polarizing for someone.

It definitely got better as the season progressed. I really enjoyed season 1.
Should start season 2 soon

Not solely, but largely. I think it's a decent enough conspiracy thriller, but I do find myself continually impressed by her ability to play different characters so well. If the setup of the show didn't require her to play so many roles, it certainly would lose a few points in many people's books.
Also, where is this notion of hype coming from? I stumbled upon the show when Amazon Prime got season 1 and put it in a featured spot. I'm not sure I'd have even heard about it if not for that. I guess I'd have seen it mentioned in threads here that I never would have bothered to click on. I really don't think it has enough hype to be overhyped.

I thought the last 2 eps of season 1 were the best-- finally started to explain some things. I just finished Season 2-- it was very good. Don't give up

Enjoyed the first season, but not enough to go about scrambling to watch S2. Will check it out during some downtime once it's up on Prime.

Same way, watched the first season pretty quickly and thoroughly enjoyed it. DVRd Season 2, but for some reason, just haven't had the urge to start it.... Don't know why.

Season 2 jumps the shark. You'll know it when you see it.
So fricking stupid. It really disappointed me, too, because I loved the first season.
