I thought I remember hearing at one point that cement dust could cause cancer

I think I read that it's actually a lower percentage than the general population.

I believe cement dust definitely contributed to my two bouts with Lymphoma. I worked as a commercial sales rep for a large ready mix company for 12 years and inhaled a ton of that stuff while helping do QC on large pours for my biggest customers. Standing at the top of the ladder with a flashlight peering into the drum to monitor slumps,etc..
I think mine was a case of genetic pre-disposition to get some kind of cancer due to my mothers family coupled with all that cement dust creating a perfect storm.
