ETA: Essentially, I think this could be pretty easily interpreted as the Bible saying there were demi-gods at some point, or, perhaps more in keeping with the Bible's other themes, half-angels. I cannot understand why there would be sons of God and then daughters of men otherwise. If they are of two different origins, one of God, one of men, how else could that be interpreted? Perhaps God made more Adams...? Weird verse, regardless.
