Hope Craig Victor is enjoying his decision to go to Arizona. He played 6 minutes tonight for them in a 23 point win over Mount St. Marys.

To follow-up with this he has played 8 minutes and 0 minutes in his 2 games since then.

I remember Victor saying he could have come to Lsu and been a local hero, but he chose Arizona to be a national hero .Lol not at Zona and certainly not at Lsu with Jarrell this year and some guy named Ben coming in next year.

Kid would've started at the three this year and probably would've started at the 4 next year once Mickey and Martin leave. But no, he chose to be a nobody at Arizona.

That's funny, since LSU has basketball player with a higher profile than anyone that has ever come out of Arizona.

I wouldn't be surprised if he transfer. Zona is deep at the 3 and four. Even worse, just got committments from two five star forwards in Ray Smith and T.J. Leaf.

I would think he's already upset with his playing time he's received.

Reminds me of Rico Gathers at Baylor too, have to wait forever to get significant minutes.

Deng Deng is likely to push him out of his starting spot.

Victor wanted to be one of those "one and done" players coming to Zona. The greed got him screwed up.

We have got get Blakeney, Lyle, Sampson, and McVeigh. Wouldn't mind taking Deondre Clark's thug big brother Stevie either. Guard play is fricking killing us.

We need a ton of pieces to overcome the coaching.

Needs to be a John Brady-esque 2006 level of talent stockpiled

Just got a big 2014 commit

PG Dominic Magee transferring from Memphis already, word is he headed here.

Not sure on his status for this year since he has not played for Memphis whether he would be eligible this Spring semester or sitting out till next season.

I'm not sure anything is final yet. It does make a lot of sense considering he has a kid in NOLA.

The timing is a bit strange for Magee, but he said Pastner told him he would sign off on a hardship waiver that could make him immediately eligible at his next school as long as it was in Louisiana. A source close to Pastner confirmed that notion.

Per Randy Rosetta LINK, it looks like he would be eligible to play in January.

It will be interesting to see who's minutes he takes once he gets used to the offense

Awesome. I hope it doesn't affect our recruitment for Blakeney.

I doubt it would take him very long to get used to LSU's offense. He would likely take Patterson's minutes. The bigger question would be the effect on recriuting. LSU had 2 scholarships available this cycle. Simmons took one, now Magee would take the other. If they want to sign anyone else, that means one or two more players can't be here next year (either because of entering the draft or transferring) You'd essentially be guaranteeing no chance that Mickey and/or Martin would be gone

I'm down with that, and I'm sure there will be more attrition than just those two. Hopefully we can sign a full 5-6 man class.

We had 3 scholarships to give, not 2.

Odo is a senior, we only have 11 scholarship players, therefore only 10 scholarship players "returning".

On top of that, Mickey is probably 80-90% gone to the NBA, so really there's 4 open spots. IF Martin ever figures out he's an athletic 6'10 240 pounder, he can leave too.

We have plenty of recruiting left to do. We would not say no to Magee, Blakeney and Sampson if they all want on board.
