Not exactly. Shits complicated and really shouldn't be talked about in the open. Unless of course, he ends up at Kentucky. In that case I'll write an exposé on the wonders of AAU and the Big Two shoe companies. But it appears as though all the Kentucky stuff is stemming from the assumption that Nike called someone in Antonio's camp and told him to get AB to a Nike school, Kentucky. Of course, Kentucky is going full bore after Malik Newman and theres no way Nike is going to force UK to take a prospect. Cal would tell them to frick off. I don't think they're recruiting Blakeney all that hard actually, evidenced by the fact that he hadn't set up an OV to Kentucky.

I don't see anywhere on Kentucky's 24/7 board where there is any confidence in landin Balekeney. They all just seemed shocked and are dogging the politics of basketball recruiting.

Maybe out of respect for Pitino he'll end up at LSU UL fans said they're finished recruiting him as of tonight

The UL fans are a special bunch. They remind me a lot of AU and A&M fans in that all three fanbases are very insecure when it comes to the hierarchy of their states athletic programs. They're always assuming that Big Brother always has some grand scheme to destroy them. Pretty damn sad.

Damn that's crazy. Doesn't LSU have one of the biggest collegiate contracts with Nike? Really don't know what to think about this.

This recruitment has been dirty for awhile. This isn't some shocking development.

I wish Malik Newman would just pull the trigger on UK... Would make me feel much better.

Troof, but that doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon. Kentucky can afford to wait though, since they're pretty set at guard.

Any of those schools have to realize slimeball Pitino will be putting a request in to the NCAA to investigate no matter where he goes

Do you think that we've got a legitimate shot, at Malik Newman. I know that Courtney went to Provine, Stringer & Maurice Carter went to Forest Hill, & Henderson went to Murrah, so we've been successful In Jackson,. Newman is as good as any prospect that I can remember ever coming out of Jackson & there's been more than in most big cities.

Yeah, it's obvious he's going to a Nike school. Love how the UK fans are all downplaying shoe politics. Say what you will about LSU fans, at least we aren't naive homers when it comes to dirty bullshite.

He visited back in November of last year, but that didn't seem to go anywhere for some reason. So no, we don't have a shot.

% Chance at Blakeney >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> % Chance at Newman

I am worried that Blakeney picks UK which would suck. If he goes UK, I'd have rathered him just go to UL.

With him and Newman being so cool I think they both land at UK. Twins going pro after this year so they next in line to take over. UK just got new uniforms by NIke and I read that coach Cal about to start having a NBA combine for either high school or college players I'm not sure. So they pulling out the tricks to get both Newman and blakeny

Nah, Kentucky has Tyler Ullis who is their future at PG. I don't see how both Blakeney and Newman would go to KY. I doubt Antonio would be cool with sitting the bench. I think this is a one or the other thing, not both.
