When my son was in sixth grade, a little a-hole kid was telling him shite like I fricked your mom and I'm your dad. It really upset him but he wouldn't tell me for a couple weeks. That was the second time I reported that kid for bullying and combined with all his other offenses he got kicked out of the school. I don't remember the first incident

Oh I saw some but I usually took up for the one being bullied.

If a guy beats your arse a lot but was a good buddy is that still a bully or just an a-hole? I think he was just an a-hole.

This, I mean on tv you always see that nerdy little kid who get shoved around, wedgies, swirlies, lunch money stolen, pushed into lockers, etc by the jocks. I have NEVER noticed anything close to that in my experience. And I was the big athletic jock.

Most bullying experience I ever noticed was this one weird white kid who was very creepy, and quiet. People didnt really mess with him, but that's just the thing, everyone kept their distance wondering what was his problem. All of a sudden, in literature class he kept repeating one line from Julius Caesar," Beware the Ides of March". Everyone agreed that hes the type of kid who looks like he would blow or shoot up a school. So from that moment on, everyone superficially became his best friend so he wouldnt kill them. Its funny but not funny at the same time
But seriously, that kid was so scary, if you could have seen his eyes and that evil laugh he gave us
And the principal didnt do anything but laugh it off and say he was joking

I was bullied until about age 10. Finally had enough one day and laid out the bully. No one bullied me anymore.

I thought that just happened in the movies

Yeah, I'll probably just say a-hole. A lot if not most teenage boys are definitely assholes.

Girl bullying was fricking real though. Most of the guys got a long except aforementioned and like 1 other dude. girls use to sit at different tables and if you weren't in the clique you were not sitting at that table.

There wasn't a lot of bullying in the 40's? WWII must have really united American children.

I have no doubt that it happens, but I cant just think of any ill spirited comments like this that was done purposely to hurt others feelings. I mean, my friends and I were grade A counts. I remember one time I was talking about how I would frick his mom and how fine a MILF she was, unknowing that his mom was standing right behind me. She forced me to write her a 3 page apology essay just so she wouldnt tell my mom But my point is, it was all in good fun, and that seemed to be understood. But, at the same time, maybe it wasnt and as kids its very possible and this and other things sometimes went too far.

Scruffy was messed with and picked on. He didn't get swirlies or anything, if that's what you are asking.

Both.

From the 2nd to 7th grade I went to a private school and beat quite a few kids up. I knew what kids not to mess with and took advantage of some weaker kids in order to establish pecking order.

Then, the tables turned. I grew a lot and fast. Not the good kind of growth. I was (am) awkward, developed bad posture, super skinny, acne, lacking coordination, etc.

8th grade wasn't bad but in high school some kids were pretty cruel to me. Oddly enough I still look back on those years with fondness. I grew a lot as a person and learned to be less shallow. Started caring less about what people thought of me and began to do nerd shite like reading books for fun and leaving cryptic gay writings on the football team's chalkboard.

There was this one kid in 4th grade that had some severe behavioral problems. People would pick on him and the kid would just go ballistic. Turning over desks and such. It was his MO. Get mad. Flip the desk.

They finally expelled that kid. I always wonder if he is still out there somewhere turning over the desks of life.

I was always in trouble for beating up bullies. Put a hurting on many a chirren for messing with the retarded kids or quiet kids. Further into school, say around 8th grade, I just got into fights because I developed a liking for it. Never bullied anyone but bullies though, but I did fight people at the drop of a hat.
