Just going to give my personal experience with Uverse. Called to have them setup my service. Great, the setup appointment was for Weds 1-3 pm. Received no call when they didnt show up. Called them at 4pm and they had no idea the technician didnt show. I hold on the line for over an hour to find out there was an engineering issue, the will come out Friday to install. I am pissed but say ok. Friday, nobody shows up again and again i received no call. I call them and it looks like they have to install another port. I ask how long this will take. They absolutely refuse to let me know(clearly they knew the whole entire time it was going to take weeks but were going to keep stringing me along). Long story short, I didnt go with them
The problem is that due to the near monopolistic way government allows cable companies to operate, almost all of them are like that, especially the options in Baton Rouge (Cox, DirecTV, and Uverse) with the last two both being owned by AT&T. At least with Uverse, you have a better chance of you never needing to talk to customer service again once it's actually installed. Cox always has problems with internet cutting out, cable cutting in and out, and billing issues.
