Fire Alleva??

If true, yes.

And I'm going to Houston and am excited about making the trip.

But we need more non-SEC big games in Tiger Stadium.

There is no one even close to LSU's caliber anywhere on that schedule. So, if there objection to a home and home, my guess is it came from the Wisconsin Athletic Department, not LSU.

I think it is pretty unfair to pin this on Wisconsin. Wisconsin drastically needs to up its non-conference competition to be part of a college football playoff. Its AD, Barry Alvarez, who is also part of the playoff committee, understands this.

Having a quality opponent as part of the non-conference slate is important for a team like Wisconsin.

More than likely a home-and-home was never going to happen, whether you choose to pin this on Wisconsin's athletic department or not.

If UGA can pull off a home and away with Notre Dame, then what's up with this neutral site crap?

You will be happy to have Sam Houston State and you will shut the frick up about neutral site games.

Sincerely,

Money. LSU makes more money playing at home but almost none on the road in this instance. Playing a neutral site means both teams get a nice check while avoiding taking a financial haircut when they play away. I don't like it, but that's how all CFB decisions are being made these days at LSU.

I meant no disrespect to Wisconsin. I was actually directing my comments towards the LSU people calling for Joe Alleva to be canned over this when I think it's more likely that home&home being a DOA topic came from Madison, not Baton Rouge.

It's amazing how few people understand college football economics on this board.
