Agreed. You're almost better off just getting a 2BR place. There are 2 BRs in the same price range as the 1BR (non-studio). That's what I'm doing. I found a 2BR house in Capital Heights for the same price as a 1 BR apartment in the Gates at Citiplace

Yep. My *roommate and I were splitting $850/mo for a 2bedroom house with fenced in yard and all in Garden District.
* ex roommate.
I live alone now.
