he could have got in done in his first term but now he would probably hurt the project. hopefully the next gov will throw his/her weight behind the project.

Not to derail this thread with worthless what ifs but he wouldn't risk the bad press by reversing course.

If its David Vitter, I'm not so optimistic as that guy only thinks about himself and his political career.

However, it's clear it's going to take a ruthless executive to get all the parishes and parish presidents in line to secure the future of South Louisiana as that's where the money is in this state. We just cannot come together for a consolidated agreement voluntarily.

Yes, he was corrupt and a POS but he got shite done with a lot of projects we still use today.
