There are exactly 3 (!) bridges across these navigable waters - of which only one outlet goes north. 2. The schools, land affordability & housing, make this area near Baton Rouge one of the most attractive and affordable places to live. The population increase in the past 5 years have exacerbated the traffic problems of the constrictions identified in #1.


BOOM!!! Remember when the Intercoastal Bridge in Gross Tete was out... then the one in Brusly at the locks formed a hole in it and they shut down half of it..... Several people were stuck. A ridiculous situation...
