There are exactly 3 (!) bridges across these navigable waters - of which only one outlet goes north. 2. The schools, land affordability & housing, make this area near Baton Rouge one of the most attractive and affordable places to live. BOOM!!! Remember when the Intercoastal Bridge in Gross Tete was out... then the one in Brusly at the locks formed a hole in it and they shut down half of it..... Several people were stuck. A ridiculous situation...
