I have a 40 that I keep as a truck gun but have always wanted a 22 revolver. I really like the Ruger and am ready to make a purchase . The only thing holding me back is the inability to find ammo. What's the deal with 22lr? I was in Walmart the other day buying a gun for my son. I bet in the 30 minutes I was there no less than 15 people came by asking about 22 ammo. The sales guy said that happens all day long. I have a couple small boxes at home now but would like to purchase more. I guess I don't understand the need to have 10k rounds of 22 on hand.

A single six with a lr and mag cylinder is a very badass heirloom quality revolver.

Everyone should own one.

My dad bought my son a heritage for his 9th bday last year. It's a fun little gut to shoot.

And I kinda thought the 22LR shortage was over. I bought a couple of bricks here and there over the last year and quit looking for it.

I've had a single six in the boat everyday for ten years now and it is still running strong

I have the single six in stainless, my brother has one in blued.
Both are very well made and shoot great.
IMO mine looks nicer with the wooden grips, but we both agree those black plastic grips he has fit the hand better.

One of the best guns I ever bought.
Really helped me become a better shot with a pistol.
