re: Where are we going as a nation?

More and more people want the government to pay for services of any kind. That will (already has) started the demise. A very wise and ahead-of-his-time economist once pointed out that:

Government is that great fiction in which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else.

This country will be fiction soon.
