There's going to be people nervous about trading the #1 pick in a great class, you don't want to end up on one of those "worst trades" lists in 20 years.

if you have a trade to make to get you to the finals and maybe win a ring, you make that trade, not hold onto the unproven #1 pick in the draft...

and you make that trade bc other teams might beat you to the punch

Even if Wiggins becomes the greatest player of all time in a few years the only way it would become one of those "worst trades" is if Kevin Love gets an injury that ruins his career.

It isn't like they are trading Wiggins for someone like Dwayne Wade or someone at the end of their career. They are trading for a bona fied top 10 player that is only 25 years old.

Any GM that thinks like this won't be a GM for long. Do you make decisions in your life like this?
