There was an update about a week ago that came out. Once that installed I noticed that when I watch a Baseball game, and small non-intrusive window will pop up and I can select for it to show me batter v. pitcher stats. If I do nothing after 10 seconds it goes away.

Today a Reebok shoes ad popped up. It was a banner ad that covered the bottom 1/8th of the screen. It didn't go away on its own and I had to dismiss it with the remote. I had to go through about 8 different menu items to find out how to turn this off.

I am NOT ... NOT... NOT... ok with this. If they don't kill this "feature" with an update then I will not be buying Samsung anything going forward.

Have't seen that yet. I got the update but haven't really used the SMART function since. Use the Xbox functions more than the TV honestly.

But, I am absolutely not ok with this either. I didn't buy the TV for them to put adds on that too.

That sucks and I haven't heard of that. I love Samsung, especially their tvs, but that could be a deal killer moving forward.

Mine has always done the pop up for pitcher & batter stats during baseball games, it's actually a pretty cool little feature.

But I've never noticed any other 'ads'

Mine began doing it too with Reebox ads.

Terrible.
