the rock shall indeed be pounded this year. I absolutely trust Cam to use what will work and bring both QB's along at the right pace.

Poor Jenniswag.
I was fixing to get involved with the 6 heisman TD campaign, but oh no.... Seems the kid is yesterday's news now.

The great thing is he doesn't have to, neither does Jennings. We have a strong backfield and OLine. If one of them can pass for 220 a game and a TD and limit mistakes, the hopefully improved defense and running game will more than step up. Don't need them to pass for 3,000 yards yet, just be a legitimate threat.

You got me there.

Ok, Jennings started and played the whole game in a bowl game win.

This. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU averaged only 150 yds passing a game.

And judging by posts like this ridiculous thread, you already have people wanting/hoping he's the second coming of Winston.

150/yards passing a game will have this board in absolute meltdown mode and calling for miles head.... Again.

That's ok, you can ignore those folks. True frosh, and a vet with little experience and some of that was a bit scarey, expectations should be low for the position. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised.

Agreed. Anyone who wants to write off Jennings because of a bad bowl game needs to remember just how electrifying Jefferson was against Georgia Tech.

I understand that. You understand that...a few more understand that...

But this board as a collective whole.......

I give to halftime of the Wisconsin game before they're predicting 4 losses because there's barely any down field passes being thrown.

Forget the youth at QB and WR. Recruiting rankings says 300/game!!!

You know how this mob works

I think electrifying was relative to expectations. In that game, JJ had 142 yds passing.

Most people would be fine with a very average passing game with few mistakes this year.

Georgia Tech Curb Stomp

1) I know his stats weren't eye popping but he looked good throwing the ball and comfortable running the offense.

2) Charles Scott. Fap fap fap.

3) this was the first and last time the words "Jefferson throws another strike" were ever spoken.

I don't remember Rivers. There were definitely some "Put in Jennings. He can run! Mett is too immobile!!!!" Threads.

2007: put in Perriloux (I wasn't on here then, but some did that around town during Flynn's bad games)
2008: put in JJ
2009: put in Shepard
2010: put in Lee
2011: put in Mett
2012: put in Rivers
2013: put in Jennings (this only happened like Ole Miss and that UAB game where we were up like 30pts)

Don't recall a true freshman leading any team to the SEC title, much less the NC. Hoping for the best but realistically 9 or 10 wins total would be quite an accomplishment given the current QB depth. Regardless of what happens this year, many will expect a championship contender next year, myself included.
