My family went many years ago so you can verify if this is still okay - we fished in Yellowstone Lake and caught some lake trout. We brought the fish to the restaurant at Old Faithful Inn (I think) and they cooked them for us for lunch. Incredibly fresh fish!

I was there back at the first of June. We stayed in the cabins at canyon lodge. It's about as centrally located in the park as you can stay. I like it because it's not but about 10 minutes from the Hayden Valley. I enjoyed getting up at daylight and looking for bears, saw one catch and eat an elk calf one morning

We used to go fish when we got off from work at the Inn. We would grill out and drink beer after our Yellowstone league softball game.
