Do hyou have a garage or some sort if shelter in which you could crate him? Definitely will need heartworm preventative and a well built sturdy kennel if no garage. I've got four dogs in my garage. They do fine. Window unit and crate for each dog. No problems with them. They stay in a kennel all day and are out only when I'm outside.
