Yup, I used to initially side with the officer in these cases, but I have done a complete 180.

Me too. I wish these stories we all " misunderstandings" and "exadggarated" but once you see so many examples of abuse it really ruins your trust.

I don't side with either. It just seems like something is missing when the story says a border patrol agent pulls a gun on boy scouts for no particular reason...

The writer describes it in a way that doesn't seem to tell the whole story.
