I used to agree with this ENTIRELY ... and then life happened to someone in my family and we started to see camera phone videos. Government abuse of power exists and until it happens to you or someone you know well, it is tempting to think that the victim did something wrong. That MAY be true, but it's not always the case. Far from it.

Yup, I used to initially side with the officer in these cases, but I have done a complete 180.
