You guys act like removing the existing shingles is a big deal. My crew had mine off in two hours and I have a steep pitch big arse roof. Removal was the smallest part of the job.

Right but they usually charge out the arse for removal, and that quote based on those measurements is not crazy at all. As long as they use long enough nails, he has nada to worry about.
