but most people who major in the humanities are just wasting their time and money. your degree will be worthless. all jobs that you would have gotten 30 years ago are being outsourced, and will continue to be outsourced.
i can understand if you like it and i understand it's important to know how to write and express your thoughts, but do that in your own time. go to college to become educated in something that will provide you with a decent job. and while doing that, read at least one non-science book a week, and you'll be more educated than most humanities degreed people.
i think most major in things like psych-english-history because they have a slight interest in it and they know they don't have to work hard to get the degree. so college is just four or five years of fun.
