My wife used to be that way but she really came around to it. It's only an issue if I get carried away so I have to be conscience not to ignore her and play all the time.

Well she works 3-4 nights a week from 7pm to 7am, so I definitely have my time to play. It works pretty well.
That also means I better not be playing them when she isn't working.
