There are 3-4 TD usuals that will completely bust your balls until they troll you enough where you quit.

Don't be a quitter.

I won't name names. You'll figure them out sooner or later.

I've developed thicker skin over the years. I read the board so I know who has it out for me...same names for the past however many years and it won't change...but I'm not concerned.

Prom...you and I have a little history too my friend lol...I was a jerk back in the day so I have to own a lot of responsibility for what transpired.

I've honestly posted so much, I don't keep track of what Ive said to anyone that's been gone a while. I don't remember 90% of the shite I post within a month, if that. Unless you're actually Lee Chatelain, then go back to your hole and quit.

So what did we learn about basing articles off an athlete's tweet, James?

Absolutely nothing...I didn't put my opinion into the article so there shouldn't be an issue. It's commonplace for news outlets to report what happens on social media. I simply wanted to shine a light on how his every move will be monitored, dissected and so on. I thought I made that clear in the article. In our sports department we have run dozens of articles just like that without complaint. The sensitive subject matter caused the reaction. Not me doing my job.

Just for the record, it's starting to get to a point where kids troll the hell out of fan bases.

I agree with alot of people that are starting to turn on social media and 17 year old kids. Can't trust tweets whatsoever, IMO.

Fair enough, but you certainly speculated it was either completely unrelated or a negative reaction to the Patterson offer. Since then he's retweeted several people congradulating him on the third interpretation, confirmation of his own commitment to LSU. My only point is that, if material is so sensitive, why does there need to be speculation attached?

This is 100% accurate. I don't get much from Twitter. I work the ground as much as possible because accurate info has become extremely difficult to obtain without the proper contacts that are in the thick of things. Twitter is my message board though...until now I guess.

I do realize that I should have spoken about all possibilities, but I wanted to let the reader interpret it for themselves.

I have to agree here. Jimmy, you had to know that posting a tweet like that and--whether you say you didn't inject your opinion into the report or not--with the tone of the report being at the very least suggestive of some sort of a negative connotation to the tweet, you run the risk of provoking an unwarranted, potential visceral reaction from a certain unfortunate segment of our fanbase.

I know that you and I and most rational people would know that such a visceral reaction is absolutely crazy and wholly unjustified, but you at the very least know the likely outcome: that the unfortunate subset of the fan base would embarrass the rest of us unnecessarily and possibly turn some negative attention to Franks. Whether intended to incite or not, your reporting with that article was irresponsible at best.

And in the end, what was to be gained by reporting this tweet suggestively without gaining more information?
